When booking through this tool, you get a reservation, but you pay directely at the hotel. Your credit card is only used by booking.com to secure the reservation. This way you will still find a room, if you reach the hotel after 6 p.m. Booking com will delete the credit card record from its database latest 10 days after you left the hotel.
